CHARLESTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Three people were injured after a single-vehicle crash in Kalamazoo County Friday morning.
It happened around 6 a.m. in the 15000 block of Mercury Drive near the intersection of MN Avenue in Charleston Township, north of Climax.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office says the vehicle was heading westbound on Mercury Drive when the driver was unable to make the turn onto MN Avenue. The vehicle left the road and rolled several times.
The three people who were inside the vehicle were taken to the hospital. The driver, a 24-year-old Detroit woman, was seriously injured. A 25-year-old Battle Creek man and 37-year-old woman from Kentucky had non-life-threatening injuries.
The sheriff's office says alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash.
