GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A 33-year-old man was arrested after threatening his neighbor with a handgun in Grand Rapids’ northeast side Sunday.
Grand Rapids police told 24 Hour News 8 that officers were called around 6 p.m. to the area of Edith Avenue NE near Ball Avenue for reports of a dispute between neighbors.
One allegedly pointed a handgun while making threats. There was no physical contact between the neighbors, police said.
When authorities arrived on scene, officers created a perimeter around the house and called everyone out.
A 33-year-old man was arrested and charged with felonious assault and possession of a firearm while intoxicated. A firearm was found and taken as evidence, police said.
