BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A 22-year-old man was killed in Battle Creek, leaving his friends and family wanting to know who would kill this popular young athlete with a promising future.
Police are still working to find out what exactly happened Saturday morning that left Joseph Bowser dead behind an apartment complex on the city’s west side.
Also seeking answers are those who say Bowser was everyone’s friend.
“He was a great kid,” said Shaun Porter, who knew Bowser on and off the playing field. “You wouldn’t expect something like this to happen to him.”
