DETROIT (WOOD) -- Michigan State University basketball fans flocked to Detroit for Friday night’s big game between MSU and Bucknell.
Fans dressed in green and white descended upon Little Caesars Arena for the NCAA basketball tournament to get a slice of the action. It wasn’t very difficult to tell the stadium is within 100 miles of East Lansing.
Fans outside the arena lined up well before tipoff. For many, it was their first time to the new venue.
“What a great asset to Detroit,” said MSU fan Doug Lipford. “The venue is great. Now I can see why people aren't sitting in their seats. They're walking around most of the time."
Many who waited in line were confident about MSU's chances.
