GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Grand Rapids mall was among the hundreds of homes and businesses that lost power after a vehicle hit a utility pole.
The outage was reported around 3:23 p.m. Thursday and covered a swath of 28th Street SE between M-37 and Patterson Avenue, according to the Consumers Energy outage map. Most of the Shops at CenterPoint mall was included in the impacted area.
A Consumers spokesman said that service had been restored to all but about 20 customers as of just after 5 p.m. Everyone else was expected to have power back by 9 p.m.
