GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — New plans are surfacing for a busy corridor once home to a Kmart store in Jenison.
Chicago Diversified Foods wants to develop 200 Chicago Drive near I-196 into a restaurant, hotel/conference center, medical office building and space for Aldi, according to a Facebook post by Georgetown Township.
The developer owns the adjacent property where Taco Bell sits. The preliminary plans might include a Popeyes restaurant, but Georgetown Township officials caution this is just a conceptual plan.
The township tells 24 Hour News 8 the company toured the property two weeks ago and submitted their plans, however Chicago Diversified Foods has not yet purchased the property. The company has about 30 days to also meet zoning requirements for future development, according to the township.
