ST. JOSEPH, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are crediting good Samaritans for pulling a 4-year-old boy from Lake Michigan at Warren Dunes State Park in Berrien County.
Deputies were called to the park around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday on a call of a possible drowning.
Deputies say Matthew Ramirez was visiting the park with several family members and had been playing with other children in the water. It appears relatives believed the boy had left the water until he was discovered floating unresponsive in the water by the bystanders, deputies said.
