KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — One child was killed and another was seriously injured after being ejected from a vehicle during a crash in Kalamazoo Friday morning, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety Chief Jeff Hadley told 24 Hour News 8.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 6 a.m. near the intersection of North Street and Rose Street.
When police arrived on scene, they say multiple people were ejected from the vehicle.
In total, five people were injured in the crash, Hadley said. One child was killed and other was seriously injured, the conditions of the other three are unknown.
The intersection is closed while authorities investigate the crash and work to clear the scene. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
It’s unclear at this time what led up to the crash.
