GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Power went out for more than 7,500 Consumers Energy customers in Barry and Allegan counties Monday night.
According to Consumers’ interactive outage map, more than 5,600 customers in Barry County and more than 2,000 customers in Allegan County lost power around 10:30 p.m. That’s about 21 percent and 4 percent of customers in the counties, respectively.
The outages were spread across several townships, including Gun Plain, Hope, Martin, Orangeville, Prairieville, Watson and Wayland.
Power is expected to be back around 1:30 a.m., according to the outage map.
The cause of the outage is not yet known.
