HOLTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Firefighters in Muskegon County extinguished two brush fires on Sunday afternoon.
NEAR TWIN LAKE
The first fire started just before 2:30 p.m. in the area of West Lake Road and Lakewood Drive, north of the community of Twin Lake.
A man told 24 Hour News 8 that exhaust from his quad hit the leaves he was using it to pull, sparking the fire.
The fire soon spread to cover about thee or four acres, the man said. It was out within two hours.
The man said he was treated for smoke inhalation, but wasn’t seriously hurt.
