GALESBURG, Mich. — Galesburg police are investigating after a man died following an assault.
Sunday, police identified the man killed as 22-year-old Ryan Cole of Galesburg.
Interim Police Chief Jeff Heppler said that the assault happened Friday evening at Countryview Apartments on Gale Street off of Burgess Drive. He said a witness called 911.
When emergency responders arrived on scene, they found Cole unconscious on a balcony at the apartment complex. They were able to resuscitate him and he was taken to an area hospital. He died of his injuries late Saturday night.
Police do not have any suspects in custody.
