The Grand Rapids Police Department is investigating a shooting which occurred in the area of Brown St & Feakin Av SW. Officers were called to the area at approximately 12:13 pm on a report of shots fired. Upon the officer’s arrival they were advised of a shooting victim at a residence on the 200 block of Brown St SW. A 15 year old male was taken to an area hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound to his foot. No suspects have been arrested. Buchanan School Elementary was on lock down as a precautionary measure. There were no injures associated with staff or students.The department’s Major Case Team will investigate the incident.
