Kent County Prosecutor's Office files charges against sheriff's deputy

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Kent County Prosecutor's Office has filed a criminal charge against county Sheriff's Deputy Saul Sepulveda.

"There's one count of larceny of a building, which is a four-year felony. The incident occurred at the Kent County Correctional Facility. But it really has nothing to do with any inmate at the jail," Becker told WOOD Radio.

Besides the potential prison term, Becker said Sepulveda could have to pay a fine of up to $5,000, if convicted. Becker did not provide details about the incident, including when it happened. Arraignment will take place Monday, December 23 in Grand Rapids District Court.
