Grand Rapids Rise stars Dimitrova, Chaussee make PVF All-League 1st team

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- As the Grand Rapids Rise prepared to play top-seeded Atlanta in the Pro Volleyball Federation semifinals, the league announced that Rise stars Emiliya Dimitrova and Claire Chaussee have made the All-League first team.

Dimitrova was named the league's "Opposite Hitter of the Year." The Bulgarian native is retiring at season's end.

The Rise were the first franchise to enter the fledgling league, and posted a 12-12 record during the inaugural season, good for fourth place. The Rise will taken on the top-seeded Atlanta Vibe in the playoffs tonight, in Omaha, at 8 o'clock EDT.
