Muskegon city helps Muskegon Heights, which posted a Boil Water Advisory

MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. -- A drop in water pressure has prompted a Boil Water Advisory in Muskegon Heights. The City of Muskegon is not affected, but it is helping Muskegon Heights by opening the interconnected pipes betwen the two cities.

The City of Muskegon says on social media it send crews into the field right away and the interconnected pipes are now supplying water to the Muskegon Heights system. Muskegon city residents should have no side effects from that. Muskegon Heights requested that residents use bottled water, or boil water before drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, or preparing food at homes and businesses.

The Muskegon Heights Public School Academy System has called off classes today.
