Ferris State University to distribute financial aid awards next week

Ferris State University is sending out financial awards to accepted students this month, even as FAFSA information from the federal government is still behind.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, was created to make the process of determining financial assistance for students based on income more streamlined.

After the federal government revamped the process, delays and glitches with the new system have it made it so many prospective students are delaying their decision on which school to attend as FAFSA distribution is still behind. Because of this, Ferris State financial aid experts say they are planning to begin sending out financial aid letters throughout next week based on their information on hand, in hopes this will alleviate the frustrations and anxieties of prospective students and families alike.

Ferris State University students are encouraged to contact the Financial Aid Hotline with any questions they may have at 231-591-2110, or by email to FinAid@Ferris.edu.
