Wyoming Police investigate shooting inside Walmart store on 54th Street

WYOMING, Mich. -- Wyoming Police are trying to determine who opened fire inside a Walmart store on 54th Street on Sunday evening, injuring two people.

It was around 6 o'clock on New Year's Eve, near Clay Avenue.

Police say a woman who was an innocent bystander was shot and taken to a hospital, but is doing okay. A man who police think was the intended target showed up at the hospital, as well. He also suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the suspect was wearing a black parka-style coat with fur around the collar of the hood, a red sweatshirt, and dark pants. Another person seen with the shooter was wearing a black sweatshirt with white lettering across the chest, a black mask, and light-colored pants.
