Man Charged in 2011 Lansing Homicide

Today, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced that 42-year-old Chadwick Mobley was bound over for trial on murder charges for the 2011 homicide of Andrea Eilber.

Back in 2011, Eilber was shot in the head at the home of a relative in Lapeer.

According to a news release, evidence found at the scene was tested for DNA during the immediate investigation, and again in 2022 in a renewed effort that positively identified Mobley, who by then was residing in the state of Utah.

Mobley then tried to flee shortly after questioning by the Michigan State Police but was later apprehended by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Department in Montana, before being returned to Michigan to face criminal charges.

Mobley is scheduled to appear in the 40th Circuit Court in Lapeer County on January 8th
