LEIGHTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are searching for a 58-year-old Caledonia man who vanished in a northern Allegan County lake Saturday.
The search is on Green Lake, which is east of Moline in Leighton Township. Witnesses told the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office the man was swimming off his pontoon when he went under the water shortly after 2 p.m.
Authorities say they started to search for him, but were forced to stop due to hazardous conditions from a storm.
The search began again Sunday morning, but authorities say information about where the man was last seen are “sketchy.”
