GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Classes will be canceled at a Grand Rapids elementary early next week as the district investigates whether workers may have cut into asbestos.
The district has already alerted parents and staff members at North Park Montessori School on Cheney Avenue NE they won't have school Monday or Tuesday because of the situation.
For about six weeks, construction crews have been doing work on the school's air conditioning system.
