Flood Warning Posted for Muskegon River

The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for the Muskegon River at Bridgeton Monday night. Flood stage for the river is 13 feet, and the river was measured at 13.6 feet at 9 p.m. Monday.

The river is expected to rise to 14.2 feet by early Thursday morning before it begins to fall.

At 14 feet, flood waters begin to surround cottages and homes around the Leisure Land Subdivision in Bridgeton Township.

The flood warning remains in effect until further notice.
