Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam has claimed he was not in the controversial 1984 yearbook photo depicting one man dressed in blackface and another in a KKK outfit, and has no plans to resign.
This announcement came after Northam apologized for appearing in the photo - taken from the 1984 East Virginia Medical School yearbook - on Friday.
Multiple lawmakers called for Northam's resignation after the controversial photo surfaced. Northam claimed he does not believe he is either of the individuals depicted.
