Michigan native wounded in Syria bombing

UNDATED (WOOD) — A Michigan native was among those injured in a bombing in Syria Wednesday.

Family members confirm U.S. Army Capt. Jonathan Turnbull of Gaylord sustained serious injuries in the attack, including to his head. His family's pastor told 9&0 News out of Cadillac that he lost an eye.

Turnbull was in critical condition Wednesday and underwent surgery in Iraq. He was expected to be moved to Germany in the coming days.
