HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A proposed truck stop that sparked a yearslong battle and a lawsuit is now officially open in Holland Township.
Love’s Travel Stop opened at 9790 Adams Street, just off I-196 Thursday — nearly five years after the project was greenlighted.
The Holland Township planning commission approved the truck stop in March 2014, but community members voiced concerns about its necessity, as well as safety.
