ST. JOSEPH TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Authorities are seeking tips in the fatal shooting of a Fair Plains-area man.
Dispatchers received reports around 11:10 p.m. Monday of a shooting at 2086 Colfax Avenue south of East Delaware Avenue in Berrien County.
Officers say they found 23-year-old Tyrone Hassell III once they arrived on scene, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities say they treated Hassell's injuries at the scene and took him to Spectrum Lakeland Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.
Hassell was an active-duty member of the military who was home on leave, visiting family for the holidays.
