Crews knock down fire at Kent Co. business

CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Crews are working to knock down a fire at a business in Cascade Township.

It happened Wednesday afternoon at a business in the 4900 block of Kraft Avenue SE, near the Gerald R. Ford International Airport.

Dispatchers said flames were visible through the roof and two fire departments were responding to the scene.

Airport officials said the fire is not impacting flights or operations at the airport, but the observation area may be shut down as a precaution.
