GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids is officially welcomed in the holiday season with its tree lighting ceremony on Saturday.
City leaders flip the switch on the tree’s lights at 6:30 p.m., which was aired live on 24 Hour News 8 and on woodtv.com.
Organizers of Light Up Downtown 2018 have strung 150,000 lights downtown, expanding the holiday decorations to Ah-Nab Awen Park, Pearl Street and the Monroe North neighborhood.
