Police: 2 shot, wounded in Kalamazoo Township

KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people were shot in Kalamazoo Township Wednesday, prompting two large police responses. 

Both of the injured people, both men, were hospitalized, one in critical condition.

The shooting happened around 12:30 p.m. outside a home in the 1400 block of Waverly Drive north of E. Main Street. Kalamazoo Township Police Department Chief Bryan Ergang said it is not believed to have been random. 

The chief said two suspects were seen leaving the scene in a maroon minivan. Police didn't immediately release descriptions of the suspects.
