KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Kathy Young, the president and chief executive officer of Borgess Health, is stepping down after four years.
24 Hour News 8 spoke with Christine Gleason, director of public relations, who said associates were told Young would be resigning Friday.
Young's successor, Dr. Thomas "Tim" Stover, will serve as president and CEO until a formal search is conducted.
Stover has experience as the former President of Akron General Cleveland Clinic.
Gleason says this transitional phase will last roughly two weeks, before Borgess launches a nationwide search for a permanent replacement.
