GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Grand Rapids police are investigating a suspicious death on the city’s northwest side.
Officers were called to a home at the corner of Straight Avenue and Chatham Street NW around 11:45 a.m. Friday for a welfare check. When they arrived, they found a 26-year-old man who was unconscious and “suffering from injuries that are consistent with a gunshot wound.”
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
