The Economic Development Department, an economic development team working for the city of Grand Rapids, helped bring close to 900 housing units and $278 million in private investments to the city just last year.
Developers looking to build in Grand Rapids are usually faced with high construction costs and high interest rates, especially recently. This team was able to help keep developments relatively feasible by bringing in financial resources, however.
Not only that, but projects within the city aren't getting any easier, with the so-called "easy projects" already having been completed.
