GRCC could receive $16.8M for Learning Resource Center update

Grand Rapids Community College could be getting $16.8 million from the state to renovate and expand its Learning Resource Center.

The funding is part of a spending bill that lawmakers approved in early November and is awaiting Governor Gretchen Whitmer's signature.

GRCC President Charles Lepper says they are grateful the state recognizes the importance of the project.

The project will include updating electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, waterproofing the building and adding 16,100 square feet.
