Ottawa County creates 4 early voting centers

The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners is approving the creation of four early voting centers for state and federal elections.

The centers will be located in Holland, Grand Haven, Georgetown Township and Crockery Township and will be up and running for elections next year.

Ottawa County Clerk Justin Roebuck says each county is required to have at least nine days of early voting after Michigan voters passed Proposal 2 in 2022.

The county opted to open four centers that any resident can vote at instead of having the 23 municipalities open their own centers.
