Infant in stolen car found safe

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Grand Rapids Police Department says a six-month-old has been found safe in a stolen car on Wednesday.

Authorities say the vehicle stolen around 3:20 p.m. on Flat Street near Eastern Avenue. The GRPD alerted nearby jurisdictions and the Kent County Sheriff’s Office drone team helped in a large-scale search.

Police say the infant, who was found within half an hour, appears to be unharmed.

The car was found in the 700 block of Crescent Street near Grand Avenue. Officers are still searching for a suspect in the Highland Park area.
