1 The Michigan Legislature approved several new bills to invest millions of dollars in hopes of improving school safety in the wake of the recent Texas shooting
Michigan Radio reports the bill would approve $27 million to provide additional security and mental health resources.
2 A new timeline of the events in Uvalde has emerged.
According to reports, it took an hour for police to enter the school after hearing gunshots inside the entire time.
Police may have entered and then retreated after taking fire.
Parents were gathered outside and physically restrained from entering the building.
3 It’s official.. for now.
5 Republican candidates for Governor won’t be on the ballot for the August primary.
Johnson, Craig, Brown, Brandenburg, & Markey were removed due to alleged fake signatures on petitions collected by a circulating company.
Johnson has previously indicated he would take the decision to court.
