Kent County putting dogs up for adoption after neglect

Dozens of dogs are up for adoption after they were discovered in a van in a strip mall parking lot.

A Kent County Sheriff's deputy found the dogs on March 25 in Alpine Township.

Several cages, with up to five dogs were cage, were stacked in the back of a van.

A judge awarded custody of the 27 dogs to the animal shelter last week while charging the owner with animal cruelty charges.
