The Ionia County Health Department is expanding their Syringe Services Program.
The program will now be staffed five days a week from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursdays.
Debbie Thalison, the department's community health supervisor and substance abuse prevention director, says they want to be a hub where people can go and get multiple services.
The department says they hope the expanded hours encourage more people to take advantage of the program.
