GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Video of the officer-involved shooting death of Patrick Lyoya will be released Friday at noon.

Grand Rapids Police Chief Eric Winstrom repeated that promise late last week.

This despite protests from the Kent County Prosecutor's Office.

An officer shot Lyoya last Monday after police say he got into a struggle.

Lyoya's family is being represented by civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who was in Grand Rapids over the weekend. Crump has represented the families of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Michael Brown.
