Break-In Suspect Shot and Kileld by Troopers Near Muskegon

LAKETON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Two Michigan State Troopers shot and killed a man who was the suspect in break-in near Muskegon in Laketon Township Monday afternoon.

The MSP says the troopers reported to the house on Sugaridge driver around 2:50 p.m., where they saw the suspect leaving the home.

The suspect drew a gun on them, at which point the troopers shot and killed him, they were not injured.

Both troopers have been placed on administrative leave, which is department protocol whenever deadly force is used.
