HOLLAND (WOOD-AM) - Grand Rapids Community College is planning to hold a "battery bootcamp" to help LG hire 1,200 new employees for its battery plant in Holland.
Earlier this week, the state approved millions in incentives for the plant's $1.7 billion expansion.
"It’s a huge opportunity for West Michigan here to lead - in the nation, if not the world - in what we're doing," Julie Parks, the executive director of workforce training at Grand Rapids Community College, told WOOD-TV.
