KALAMAZOO, Mich. - According to the Kalamazoo Township Police Department, a 51-year-old woman was stabbed and burned at home on Melrose Avenue.
One of her relatives was arrested by police, who had been visiting the victim overnight. The person was charged with attempted murder, torture and unlawful imprisonment.
The suspect's name and gender have yet to be released.
The woman was taken to the hospital, and is listed in stable condition.
