McDonald's Hit by Truck after Attempted Robbery

BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - A man is awaiting jail while in a hospital after he crashed a truck into a McDonald's on 68th Street followed an attempted burglary.

Officer saw a truck speeding away from Al & Bob's Sports on 68th Street a little after midnight on Wednesday. The driver, however, lost control of the truck, hitting the McDonald's. The driver tried to steal another car at a gas station next door, but deputies detained the suspect before he was able to.

Investigators say it is unknown how many guns were stolen, with belief there is more than one suspect involved.
