Local Flooding Fueled by Ice Jams, Snowmelt

ROBINSON TOWNSHIP (WOOD-AM) - The National Weather Service says flood watches and warnings remain in effect throughout West Michigan as rivers run high from due to snow melt and ice jams.

Flooding was reported along the Grand River over the weekend.

Lynn Gebott, who lives along the Rogue River near where it flows into the Grand River, tells WOOD-TV that, at this stage, she's used to it.

"That’s why we're up so high and we have just a crawl space with nothing in it," Gebott said.
