Police say two people were arrested after they were caught stealing cans from a Rockford community organization.
The Rockford Lions Club, Rockford Rotary Club and Rockford Band Boosters had trailers set up to collect returnable cans to raise money for their organizations.
However, hundreds of cans were stolen from the trailers.
Police say they caught two suspects attempting to steal cans from a trailer in the Great Lakes Ace Hardware parking lot on Wednesday.
