In Michigan, Feminine Hygiene Products Now Tax-Free

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Starting Thursday, the state sales tax on feminine hygiene products is eliminated.

The estimated $7 million in lost revenue will be reimbursed to sources specified by the bill, including the school aid fund.

West Michigan legislators Republican Representative Bryan Posthumus of Cannon Township and Grand Rapids Democratic Senator Winnie Brinks introduced the measures last fall.
