GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Spectrum Health is going to further expand with three new buildings projected to open in the next couple of years.
A new 11-story building on Michigan Street will have clinical care, research and education all under the same roof. Outpatient services will include primary care, heart, vascular and neuroscience clinics. The center will also have a simulation center for doctor training. The clinic is expected to open in the spring of 2024.
A 15,800-square-foot clinic is scheduled to be built in Lakeview, which will hold family doctors' offices, outpatient rehab and a walk-in clinic. A similar building, at twice the size, is planned to be built in Big Rapids, with both expected to open by spring 2023.
The total cost of the three-building projected is estimated at around $151 million.
