1 More cases than ever..
TheCDC has shortened COVID quarantine guidelines from 10 to 5 days for everyone regardless of jab status.
They say the change is based on scientific evidence that most transmission occurs early in the disease, right before and after the onset of symptoms.
2Michigan’s redistricting commission is banned from closed meetings.
Gov. Whitmer signed bipartisan legislation to stop Michigan’s new redistricting commission from holding closed sessions.
This comes days after the state Supreme Court ruled against the panel in a test of a constitutional requirement that it conduct all of its business at open meetings.
3 It could be a messy Tuesday afternoon drive home. Another system of rain, a wintry mix and snow is developing and on the way.
Snow is expected to arrive along the I-94 corridor by the early to mid afternoon, and then push toward Grand Rapids by the evening rush hour. Snowfall will start to turn to a wintry mix toward the south into the evening, with the heaviest snow staying north of I-96 well into the night.
