The Big Three 12-21-21

1 The Omicron variant is now the dominant variant in the US.

It now accounts for more than70 percentof COVID-19 cases for the week and it is only growing stronger. Large corporations are repositioning themselves as they look to either extend their work-from-home orders or are considering it again if they’ve gone back to work in-person.

The White House admitted yesterday that Biden has come in contact with a staffer who later tested positive for COVID.

Biden will address the nation later today. He’s expected to talk about making more tests available for free to the public and send troops with medical training to a few states including Michigan.

Whitmer will be in Grand Rapids detailing plans to fight the Rona today.

2 New details emerged about the hostages held in Haiti. Christian Aid Ministries has revealed the missionaries escaped their captors and walked for miles on rough moonlit terrain while carrying an infant and other children.

3 Supreme CourtJustice, Brett Kavanaugh, asked theBidenadministration Monday to respond to a flood of appeals of aSixth Circuitruling that allowed the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to move forward with its controversial vaccine-or-testing mandate for large businesses.

The Supreme Court is not considering the full validity of the OSHA ETS on vaccines. It is only considering whether to temporarily halt the implementation of the rule while litigation in lower courts decides the issue on the merits.
