NORTON SHORES (WOOD-AM) - A Norton Shores 18-year-old is dead after a shooting in Fruitport early yesterday morning.
It happened near Third Avenue and Park Street. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Dylan Owens suffering multiple gunshot wounds in a vehicle.
A suspect, a 21-year-old, was taken into custody. The shooting is believed to be the result of previous conflicts between the victim and suspect.
Family members say Owens was about to be a father.
