Hopkins teacher on leave after comments on Oxford

A teacher at Hopkins Public Schools is on leave after he made comments on the shooting at Oxford High School last week.

Superintendent Gary Wood did not give the teacher's name or share specifics on the comments made to students.

Wood says the teacher is on administrative leave while the district investigates the situation.

Michigan State Police briefed teachers on how to talk to students about the incident but MSP Lt. DuWayne Robinson says he went "off-script" and students told the principal what was said.
